An Announcement Regarding Single Spotlights

A few of you have asked if more spotlights would be added for November, as well as suggested more that could be added. Originally, I said yes, so I wanted to explain why plans have now changed.

As mentioned before, idol BEATS Radio is currently a one-(wo)man operation, so I do have limited time. Though there were many singles I wanted to add for this month, due to the limited time, I felt rather than spending all of November making more spotlights for November, and then not having enough for December when it starts and doing the same, the best plan would be to use November to make spotlights for December, so there can from now on be a lot of- or all- spotlights up for the month on the first day of that month.

So, apologies to those I said I would be adding more spotlights this month to, or if the ads have gotten repetitive due to the few spotlighted this month, but starting next month the goal is to have tons at the start (I'd like to feature every idol single release I know of each month, eventually) and every month to come! So please look forward to it!

And, of course, if you know of upcoming idol releases that may be considered more indie or underground (since i may not know of them already), please feel free to email idolbeatsradio@gmail.com (or contact the facebook or twitter page) with at least the idol soloist/idol group name, and the month of release. (If you have more info to provide, of course, that'd make my job easier and would be very much appreciated! Anything from single tracklist, MV links, links to purchase it, short info on the group, etc. Whatever you have to provide.)

Giveaway in celebration of the Grand Re-opening!

Hello listeners! I'm hoping this post is going to be read by regular listeners, as well as people who have never heard of the station until now. Idol BEATS Radio just had it's Grand Re-opening yesterday! The station is new and improved, with hundreds of hours of idol music programmed on it. (And let me tell you, it's got it all- 48G, Hello!Project, Stardust, tons of lesser-known and indie idols, and anything you can imagine!) This station is the best way to hear the great variety in the current idol scene in Japan, and to listen to your favorite idols while discovering new ones.

To celebrate the Grand Re-opening as well as try and get more people to discover the station, there is going to be a CD giveaway, and anyone can participate. First off, as I'm sure you are all dying to know, these are the CDs up for grabs:

If you win, you get to choose whichever one of these CDs you want most. Now, the way enter it simple. You can participate through Facebook, Twitter, or Tumblr. (However, idol BEATS Radio currently does not have an official Tumblr. The Tumblr post was simply made on an old tumblr account I have lying around. If you believe idol BEATS should have an official tumblr, please leave a comment about it on this post!!)

• To enter the giveaway on Facebook, simply share the facebook post linked here and comment saying which CD you are interested in.
• To enter the giveaway on twitter, simply re-tweet the tweet linked here.
• To enter the giveaway on twitter, simply reblog the post linked here.

That's all it takes. And, yes, you CAN enter in more than one place and have better chances to win! The winners name will be drawn randomly from all of those who entered, so the more places you enter, the better.
Also, if there are a lot of entries, I will have THREE of these CDs given away at once, and someone from each website will win. (Which means, potentially, if you have some great luck you could win multiple CDs if you enter in different places.)

Grand Re-opening!

Today is the Grand Re-opening of idol BEATS Radio! The station is new and improved, with bugs fixed and tons of new music added for you all to listen to! From this moment on, the station will constantly continue being improved and updated on a regular basis. Every week, often every day, I will be adding new music or programming to make sure you get a great variety of music every time you decide to tune in :)
If you'd like to help keep the station constantly improving, please visit the "idol BEATS needs your help" page to find the different ways you can contribute.
There is also a new way, with the installment of "Single Spotlights." If you purchase a single that's a part of single spotlight the month of, and you use the link in the post that I provide, CDJapan gives me a percentage of the profit, which I will use to buy more music for the station, and possibly some CDs for giveaways.
